Südtirol ist ein Paradebeispiel für die friedliche Lösung von Minderheitenkonflikten. Sein Erfolg beruht auf einem komplexen Zusammenspiel von völker- und verfassungsrechtlichen Instrumenten und Schutzregelungen. Die Arbeit beleuchtet dieses facettenreiche Minderheitenschutzsystem in seiner Gesamtheit - vom österreichisch-italienischen Pariser Vertrag 1946 über den dazu vor der UNO entbrannten Streit bis hin zu den Entwicklungen der letzten Jahre.
